The economic confidence index in Turkiye has seen an upward tick, rising by 1.3 per cent to 95.4 in September, compared to 94.1 in August, according to the latest data. Various sub-indices have shown mixed results, offering insights into different sectors of the economy, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat).
The consumer confidence index witnessed a significant increase, going up by 5.1 per cent to reach 71.5. The real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence index also edged up by 0.5 per cent, settling at 105.1. Retail trade confidence index increased by 3.0 per cent to 117.7, Turkstat said in a press release.
The indices are seasonally adjusted except for the consumer confidence index.
