Centre has started conserving historical monuments and buildings for which the Textile Ministry has sanctioned an amount of Rs90 lakh, of which Rs27 lakh has been already disbursed.
Karukul Foundation New Delhi has been appointed as technical agency for the project, sources informed.
Training will be given to as many as 6,000 craftsmen from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
Counter Magnet City and SADA Gwalior will manage the project, even as the latter has allocated Moti Mahal Premises having big hall and 14 rooms for the same.
Moti Mahal is getting spruced at the cost of Rs8.41 lakh where plants and machines are being installed.
A total of Rs55 lakh will be invested in plant and machineries and another amount of Rs 19.80 lakh has been earmarked for electrification of the premises during the year 2006-07, sources informed.
