One-day workshop focusing on sustainable materials

Textile Exchange (TE) and Sustainability in Review will be hosting a unique one-day workshop about sustainable apparel and materials, responsible processing, ethical manufacturing, and product integrity on Tuesday, August 16 from 8 am to 5 pm at The Westin South Coast Plaza. This hands-on workshop provides a deep dive into the key aspects of social and environmental sustainability in the apparel supply chain from design to manufacturing.

This workshop is specifically designed to give an overall landscape of sustainability information and trends in the apparel industry today. The workshop's structure is aimed at attendees involved in buying, sourcing and production, design, Fabric and garment development, marketing and communication and educators working with students in the fashion and apparel industry.

Founded in 2002, Textile Exchange (formerly Organic Exchange) facilitates expansion of the global organic cotton and sustainable fiber supply and marketplace by working closely with the entire value chain, from farmers and textile suppliers to retailers and consumers.

Nicole Bassett is Sustainability in Review's principal consultant who works with companies and their sustainability planning and implementation. Nicole's experience is in apparel products, with deep knowledge in supply chain operations, social responsibility, transparency and environmental analysis.
