“AAFA wishes to thank the Chairmen of the Armed Services Committees, Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) and Sen. John Warner (R-VA), as well as the ranking members Rep. Ike Skelton (D-MO) and Senator Carol Levin (D-MI)."
"Also, Rep. Hayes and Sen. Dole deserve our deepest gratitude for their leadership in pressing for these improvements to the law over many years,” Burke said. “It has been a long struggle, and could not have succeeded without their determined leadership.” Burke also expressed AAFA's appreciation to Sens. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Harry Reid (D-NV), Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Susan Collins (R-ME), and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for their support.
“This is a huge victory for AAFA members who serve our nation by providing the uniforms worn by our troops,” Burke said. “It is only right that American companies provide the clothing worn by American service men and women who so courageously defend our nation.”
