Textile industry to lose 20,000 jobs, says Spanish textile council CIE

According to Spanish textile council Consejo Intertextil Espanol (CIE), the Spanish textile industry will lose 20,000 jobs, or 9 percent of total employment this year while production is expected to fall 8.9 percent to €11.6 billion.
The textile industry with keeping in view of these figures is asking government to provide €200 million for early retirements and reemployment measures.
