Dr. A. Sakthivel, President of Tirupur Exporters' Association (TEA) has thanked the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Dr. J. Jayalalithaa for the decision taken to commence immediate steps to facilitate commissioning of the Kudankulam Nuclear Plant.
The commissioning of the much-awaited crucial Project will be helpful to ease the power crisis and will give a relief to the industries, including households. At this juncture, we wish to note that for the past six months everything has been going under control except the power crisis and we expect that the concerned issue will also get solved in the coming months.
Again, we request the Hon'ble Chief Minister to help to install a dedicated feeder to Tirupur for getting a continuous, consistent power supply as the knitwear-exporting units have to compete in the international market with competitiveness, mainly to sustain in the global market and for the revival of the Tirupur knitwear sector.
