compared with march, the overall level of producer prices in april decreased primarily due to the price decrease in the manufacture of wood and of products of wood (except furniture) and in the manufacture of chemicals, chemical products and man-made fibres as well as in the manufacture of machinery, equipment and machine tools and in some other activities.

the greatest raising effect, in turn was due to price rises in the manufacture of food products and beverages (mainly meat products and preserved meat, milk products and bread) as well as in the manufacture of non-metallic mineral products (mainly articles of concrete) and in the manufacture of fabricated metal products.
