Several enquiries registered on Bremen CIF last week

Bremen CIF Index reports that several enquiries were registered during the past week, especially in the long- and extra-long staple range. Partly large quantities were sold in this range. Enquiries for medium or higher grades in the Upland-range repeatedly experienced diverging price ideas. The need for higher Greek grades could not be satisfied due to a lack of availability.

The following contracts were closed:

In the medium staple range: West African and Central Asian descriptions were sold for prompt delivery.

Long- and extra-long staple cotton: Contracts were closed for large quantities of Israel Pima and Israel Acalpi for the period 1st to 3rd quarter 2013. A smaller amount of Sudan Barakat was ordered for the 2nd quarter 2013.
