Work advances on Mysore textile park

A textile park is coming up on a 250 acre land, a few kms away from Mysore.

The Mysore textile park is part of seven such parks proposed under special purpose vehicle (SPV) scheme.

A comprehensive development scheme, based on requirement, will be forwarded through the handloom and textile department in Bangalore to central Government for sanction.

Maximum sum of Rs 40 crore will be sanctioned for the park in four installments.

Entrepreneurs desiring to become members of the SPV will have to submit a project report along with an application.

They have to aply before February 15 to the deputy director of handlooms and textiles, Mysore.
