Participating at Domotex International Fair recently concluded in Germany, The Kerala State Coir Corporation Ltd (KSCCL) has bagged export order for coir products worth Rs 1 crore from Germany, Britain, Italy and the United Arab Emirates.
KSCCL was also able to sign an agreement to export cocopeat to Dubai and coir items to the Gulf countries.
Coir Corporation put up products like cocopeat, cocopot, geo-textiles and rubberised coir beds at the exhibition to familiarize its products to Non-Resident Indians in the Gulf countries.
In order to market its coir products, the KSCCL held business meetings at Rotterdam, Paris, Amsterdam, UNESCO headquarters and Vaganimgan University in the Netherlands.
KSCCL Chairman S.Chidambaran and Managing Director Febi Varghese informed that they would increase its marketing presence through showrooms displaying coir products soon.
