Textile industry of Syria was able to achieve profits for the first time this year, due to inflow of new investments in this industry for past five years, said Jamal- al-Omar Director General of Syrian Textile Industries' Establishment.
Jamal al-Omar explained the importance of textile industry which contributed to the national economy.
He hoped that textile industry will be able to compete with other industries in Syria as well as other markets abroad, in the coming years.
Textile industry, considered an integrated industry should be supported as it contributes to nations economic revenues and profit, he opined.
