US trade deficit up at $65.7bn in December

November to December change in exports of chemical, finished textile supplies, cotton fibre cloth and raw cotton exports declined by $39 mn, $4 mn, $3 mn, $115 mn respectively.

While exports of textile sewing machines, gems-diamond, jewelry, cosmetics, rugs, sports apparel, household textile grew by $107 mn, $715 mn, $400 mn, $526 mn,$ 81 mn, $40 mn, $461 mn respectively.

From November to December, imports of synthetic cloth, finished textile supplies, cotton natural fibres, cotton cloth, textile sewing machine decreased by $7 mn, $3 mn, $1 mn, $4 mn, $7 mn respectively.

While imports of leather and fur, wool, gems-diamond, footwear, jewelry, gems stones, apparel and textile gain $1 mn, $1 mn, $81 mn, $110 mn, $61 mn , $16 mn , $4 mn respectively.

As per exports, imports and balance of goods by selected NAICS-Based Product Code, exports of textile and fabrics were $7.4 mn, more than imports of same category in December.

While textile mill products, apparel & accessories and leather imports were higher by $840.9 mn, $4991.2 mn, $1887 respectively compared to exports of same products in December.
