The US Census Bureau released the Manufacturing and Trade Inventories and Sales for December 2005.
Sales - It stated that the combined value of distributive trade sales and manufacturers' shipments for December, adjusted for seasonal and trading-day differences but not for price changes, was estimated at $1,044.5 billion, up 1.2 percent (±0.2 percent) from November and up 7.0 percent (±0.4 percent) from December 2004.
Inventories - Manufacturers' and trade inventories adjusted for seasonal variations but not for price changes, were estimated at an end-of-month level of $1.303.7 billion, up 0.7 percent (±0.2 percent) from November and up 4.3 percent (±0.4 percent) from December 2004.
Clothing & clothing accessories stores Inventories/Sales Ratios increased in in December 2005.
In December 2005, the general merchandise stores sales also rose as compared to November.
