Sixty small businesses have been honored with the US Chamber of Commerce Blue Ribbon Small Business Award, given in recognition of a company's dedication to excellence in several categories, including financial performance and business history, staff training and motivation, community involvement, customer service, and business planning.
Winners of the award from around the country will be honored at ACCESS 2006, the Chamber's Small Business Summit.
The award, sponsored by AIG, is part of the Chamber's Small Business of the Year selection process.
One Blue Ribbon Small Business will be selected from each of seven regions as a finalist for the US Chamber Small Business of the Year Award. The finalists will be announced March 15 on the radio/Internet show The Small Business Advocate, hosted by Jim Blasingame.
The Blue Ribbon Small Business Award is part of the US Chamber's Small Business of the Year selection process, and is awarded to companies that showed excellence in business history and commitment to customers, employees, and the community.
US Chamber of Commerce is a business federation representing companies, business associations, state and local chambers in the US, and American Chambers of Commerce abroad.
