“The contents of letter No. 4(20)/96-TOI dated 4th March 2006 received from Mr. Muhammad Ashraf, Section Officer, Ministry of Commerce is reproduced below for compliance by all Member Bodies of FPCCI:-
"I am directed to state that it has been brought to the notice of the Director Trade Organizations that membership of some trade bodies is being renewed on the basis of old National Identity Cards and / or invalid NTN Certificates.”
“It is requested that direction of the Direction Trade Organization may be circulated amongst all Trade Bodies with the instruction that grant of new membership and renewal of existing membership be done on the basis of Computerized National Identity Cards issued by NADRA and valid National Tax Numbers / Certificates. the above instruction may please be circulated under intimation to this office within a week.”
