Southern African Clothing & Textile Workers' Union (SACTWU) members at Cape Union Mart can expect their annual wage increase on time at the end of this month.

The union has settled its wage negotiations for this group of companies and a formal collective bargaining agreement has now been signed.

The settlement ranges between 7.4%-10%. More than half of the employees will receive 10% or more.

In monetary terms, the across the board wage increase amounts to R500 per month, retrospective to 1 April 2013, for the next 12 months.
