The index for 'Chemicals & Chemical Products' group declined by 0.3 percent to 188.8 (Provisional) from 189.3 (Provisional) for the previous week due to lower prices of acid (all kinds) (6percent) and liquid nitrogen (3percent). However, the prices of ayurvedic medicine liquids (2percent) moved up.
The index for 'Machinery & Machine Tools ' group rose by 0.9 percent to 148.8 (Provisional) from 147.5 (Provisional) for the previous week due to higher prices of p.v.c. insulated cables (16percent) and other electrical equipment & systems (8percent).
