International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) announces that the international cotton conference (ICC) will be held on 3-4 December 2006 in Dhaka, Bangladesh under the theme: Opportunities for Increased Trade in Cotton Textiles.
Cotton Bangladesh and the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) in cooperation with Cotton Outlook, Globecot, Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Bangladesh Knit Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) will organize the conference. The venue of the conference will be the Dhaka Sheraton Hotel. The two-day convention will include a conference, trade show and social events.
The conference will focus on the potential for growth in world cotton and textile trade, and investment opportunities for the textile industry. It will also address regional trade flows in cotton and textile products and strategies to cope with increasing competition in textile trade.
The trade show will present an opportunity for companies and organizations to increase their visibility and to showcase their products and services. It is expected that about 200 people from a wide number of countries will participate in the convention.
