"Demanding tough action against China is not personal," Tantillo asserted. "The U.S. government should make it clear to the world that any country that refuses to play by the rules by manipulating currency, doling out billions in non-performing loans, stealing intellectual property, and handing out excessive state-sponsored subsidies will see its access to the U.S. market restricted."

"To avoid the continued decimation of the U.S. manufacturing sector and certain long-term economic pain associated with it, the U.S. government must stand up to both China and U.S. importers earning short-term profits off the grossly imbalanced U.S. trade relationship with China," said Tantillo.

"There has been enough talk. Now it is time for action by the U.S. government. The United States has signed agreement after agreement with China in the past, yet the trading imbalance between the countries skyrockets on an annual basis. Proof that the imbalanced relationship with China has changed only will come when the U.S. trade deficit with China is substantially reduced."
