“The Spanish Program for Africa comes at a crucial moment as the World Bank is implementing the Africa Action Plan to support accelerated progress towards the MDGs in Africa” said Mahmood Ayub, Director for World Bank Operations in Africa.
“commend the Spanish Government for the decision to provide bilateral debt relief for the achievement of the MDGs through this coordinated mechanism. By helping avoid duplication of efforts, the Spanish Program for Africa will effectively contribute to country efforts toward achieving the MDGs.”
