'ITMA ASIA 2014 to be biggest textile machinery event'

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2014, a show focusing on the machinery companies in the textile and apparel fraternity, has become one of the biggest textile machinery events in Asia.

According to industry representatives, ITMA provides a platform for presenting new innovations in the textile machinery sector to a wide audience and for staying in touch with Asian consumers.

In an interview with Fibre2Fashion correspondent Ilin Mathew, Oliver Mathews, sales vice-president of the Wrap Knitting business unit at Karl Mayer, said, “ITMA is the key fair for presenting innovations to a wide audience and to meet its customers.”

“It has already become a tradition for us to act as a meeting point for the worldwide wrap-knitting sector,” he adds.

In a similar vein, Christiane Thies, marketing department at Thies GmbH, says, “ITMA Asia fair has always been well-respected platform for innovations and it offers the opportunity to maintain intensive relations with business partners.”

Adding on, Thomas Elsener, marketing service of Scharer Schweiter Mettler AG, says, “A good customer-relation is important for business and ITMA Asia is the perfect platform to strengthen the contacts.”

According to Mr. Paolo Puntoni, marketing director of Savio Macchine Tessili, ITMA Asia + CITME show is the biggest textile machinery event in Asia.

“The attention of Asian consumers is fundamental to support their new projects with the most advanced and automated machines,” he concludes.
