Given annually, this merit award recognizes an outstanding rising senior who has chosen to enter this special career field. ITMA is proud that its merit award is the largest single scholarship given in the Home Furnishings Program. In addition to ITMA members, the following companies have given generously to this award through the years: 3M, American Fibers and Yarns, Cotton Incorporated, FiberVisions, Pliana Incorporated and Solutia.
By 1995, the ITMA Design Award had been established to honor students in the field of textile design. Numerous colleges and universities throughout the nation participate in the competition which is held each spring.
