Participating exhibitors are meticulously preparing a wealth of product displays to attract multitudes of specialty retail buyers from the United States and neighboring countries as well as buyers from Europe. Chinese diplomats in the United States and senior New York City government officials will attend the opening ceremonies.

The China Textile and Apparel Trade Show (New York) has achieved a high level of prestige and name recognition in mainstream U.S. business circles. It is the Chinese textile world's most influential specialty show on U.S. soil.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg sent a letter of congratulations to the opening ceremonies of the 2005 show, and his representative at the ceremonies thanked the China Textile and Apparel Trade Show Committee for its numerous contributions to the New York City economy and for promoting bilateral trade over the previous six years.

President Kevin Burke and Vice President Fawn Evenson of the American Apparel and Footwear Association made a special trip from Washington to New York City to attend the show and gave it good reviews.

The many products prepared especially by exhibitors to suit U.S. culture were well received by show attendees. Statistics indicate that over 2,000 companies visited the 2005 show and conducted business negotiations on site.

Attendees numbered more than 4,000, of whom 82.4% were specialty wholesalers and 17.6% were large-scale retailers. Over the course of three days they transacted almost U.S. $100 million in business. The China Textile and Apparel Trade Show (New York), a show consistently focused on developing China-U.S. bilateral textile and apparel trade, has now become a significant trading platform that contributes to the success of China-U.S. business.

As the China Textile and Apparel Trade Show (New York) has built a bridge across the Pacific Ocean for achieving healthy development and mutually beneficial, win-win relationships in the China-U.S. textile trade, participants in the industry in both countries are looking forward to benefit more from this annual event.
