Vietnam's Ministry of Industry (MOI) has approved plan of divesting Goverment stake in textile and garment enterprises for 2006.
These enterprises are all under management of Vinatex.
They are Dong Phuong Textile and Garment Company, Dong A Textile Company, Viet Thang Textile Company, Vietnam Cotton Company, Fashion Trading Company, Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Company, Bao Loc Fibre Factory – under Phong Phu Textile Company, garment plants of Dong A Textile and Garment Company, Dong Xuan Textile Company and 8/3 Textile Company, Hanoi Sewing Thread Plant of Phong Phu Textile Company.
Member factories of Vinatex (Vietnam National Textile & Garment Corporation) have been synchronized with modern plants from spinning, weaving, printing, dyeing, finishing to garment making
Once equitized, companies are expected to upgrade their efficiency in order to contribute to Vinatex's development plan till 2010.
