US Chamber of Commerce (USCC), along with dozens of other companies and industry associations, submitted a letter to Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert urging Congress to move forward and approve three important trade measures-free trade agreements with both Oman and Peru, and legislation granting Vietnam Permanent Normal Trade Relations.
The Chamber and its partners argue that all three initiatives would help level the global trade playing field, expand U.S. export opportunities, and strengthen existing foreign policy and national security relationships with our trading partners.
The agreements are also critical to the global competitiveness of American workers, farmers, and businesses.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation representing more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions.
It includes hundreds of associations, thousands of local chambers, and more than 100 American Chambers of Commerce in 91 countries.
Whether you own a business, represent one, lead a corporate office, or manage an association, the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America provides a voice of experience and influence in Washington, and around the globe.
It core mission is to fight for business and free enterprise before Congress, the White House, regulatory agencies, the courts, the court of public opinion, and governments around theworld.
