Vinatex plans to become multi – trading group

Vietnam Textile and Apparel Group (Vinatex) is planning to develop into a multi–trading group, based on its original trade of textile and garment, Chairman Le Quoc An, said.

In trading structure of the group, major sectors include production of textile and apparel, commerce, credit and finance, trading infrastructure and consultant services, technology transfer, training and logistic.

To reach such good targets, Vinatex is implementing measures to equitize all its member companies.

As reported, the group planned to equitize garment companies including Viet Tien (Vitec), Viet Thang, Dong A, Dong Phuong and Vietnam Cotton within 2006, textile companies of Phong Phu, Hanosimex, Nam Dinh, and Dông Xuan within 2007.

Vinatex is to make public listing in early 2008.
