Chamber insists on Congress to study & reform regulatory system

US Chamber of Commerce announces lawmakers must examine and reform the government's costly and burdensome regulatory system to ensure the continued success of small businesses and the overall economy, according to testimony submitted before the House Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform and Oversight by William Kovacs, U.S. Chamber vice president for Environment, Technology and Regulatory Reform.
The Chamber estimates the cost of federal regulations to the public to be in excess of $1 trillion. Kovacs called for implementation of a periodic review of regulatory requirements to ease the burden of compliance on America's small and mid-sized businesses and make the system more transparent through an effective enforcement mechanism.
