GDDOFTEC issues notice on application of quantitative limits

Trade and Industry Department, Hong Kong (TID) announced that the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation of Guangdong Province (GDDOFTEC) issued a notice on 20 July 2006, setting out issues relating to the application for anticipation of quantitative limits for textile exports as announced by the Ministry of Commerce.

Enterprises in various municipalities of Guangdong Province should submit their written applications to local commerce departments before 1 August 2006. Enterprises directly under the supervision of the Guangdong Province should submit their written applications to the GDDOFTEC before 5 August 2006.

The quantitative limits obtained by the enterprises through this exercise will be deducted by equal amount in their quantitative limits available for distribution in 2007.
