Trade and Industry Department, Hong Kong (TID) announces that the Ministry of Commerce issued on 27 July 2006 a notice concerning the invitation for consultative bids for provisional quantitative limits for textile exports to the European Union and the United States in 2006.
According to the notice, enterprises that have surrendered the unused provisional quantitative limits for textile exports won at bidding and arranged full payment for the won quantities before 5 August 2006 are qualified to participate in this round of bidding. The bidding results are scheduled for announcement on 11 August 2006.
The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles also issued a notice on 28 July 2006, elaborating certain issues relating to the subject bidding exercise.
