The Committee on Bid Invitation for Quantitative Limits of Textile Exports of the Ministry of Commerce issued on 20 September 2006 a notice concerning the first invitation for consultative bids for provisional quantitative limits for textile exports to the European Union and the United States in 2007.
According to the notice, the 2007 provisional quantitative limits for EU categories 4, 5, 6 , 7, 26 and 31 and US categories 338/339, 340/640, 347/348, 349/649, 638/639, 647/648 and 847 will be made available for bidding.
The quantities available for bidding, bidding price and the minimum bidded quantities, while the maximum bidded quantities of individual qualified enterprises are set out in notice.
The bidding period for the first round is 9:00am of 15 November 2006 - 2:00am of 24 November 2006.
Enterprises concerned should fully pay the bidding deposits before 23 November 2006. The bidding results are scheduled for announcement on 8 December 2006.
