With 18,780 professional trade visitors from 108 different countries during the four days of the session – from Monday 18 to Thursday 21 September 2006 – the pattern of growth at Texworld continues with a 1 percent increase in the number of entrances compared to the 18,595 visitors welcomed at the Fair in September 2005.
60 percent of these visitors are from Europe: notably in order of importance – from France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Spain and the Netherlands.
The significant progression in visitors originating from Eastern Europe, notably from Poland, the Czech Republic and Russia should be noted. 15 percent of visitors this session coming from Asia and 10 percent from the United States.
These numbers demonstrate that the 677 exhibitors at Texworld, originating from 40 different countries represent the largest and most varied offering of apparel textiles in Europe and boasting an excellent quality-price relationship.
The evolution in Fashion towards natural materials such as wool, silk and especially cotton and linen highlights exhibitors who offer these fabrications.
Such exhibitors greeted new visitors and wrote significant orders. This also confirms Texworld's leadership position in terms of business transactions.
