From 2001- 2005 global organic cotton product sales increased an estimated 35 percent annually, from $245 million to $583 million, and global organic cotton product sales are projected to skyrocket to $2.6 billion by the end of 2008. India has become the 2nd largest producer of organic cotton fiber globally and a significant contributor to global production and manufacturing as well. Key brands from the United States and Europe such as Remei, Coop Switzerland, H&M, M&S, Nike, Otto, and Wal-Mart currently source from this region.

During this unique regional meeting, you will have the opportunity to meet with colleagues from regional and global companies from every part of the supply chain as well as organic farmers from India and other countries and leaders of environmental and social non-profit organizations.

Meeting Highlights
November 6th: Regional Farm Development Meeting Our Farm Development meeting will be held at the Eagleton Resort on the outskirts of Bangalore and will focus on developing a map of fiber and supply chains in the Indian continent, identifying opportunities and barriers to growth in fiber and supply chains regionally and creating a collective path and strategy forward for farm development in the region. If you are a farmer, a partner to farmers (co-operative, broker, integrated chain partner) or someone in the chain interested in understanding the issues facing farmers, please join us.
