Chairman of Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas), Le Quoc An, recently, warned textile and apparel industry of the country that they would face even more difficulties resulting from the US decision of applying anti–dumping duties on Vietnamese goods.

Imposing anti–dumping tariff on textile and apparel goods exported to the US market is a much harsher treatment than on–going mechanism of export–quota allocation, An said.

If the US house carried out such harsh policy, there would be many customers of Vietnam's enterprise shifting their orders from Vietnam to other countries, An warned.

At the end, he advised that Vietnamese textile and apparel enterprises should immediately pay more attentions to such serious risks and find out themselves suitable solutions.
