Leather and Shoes Association (Lefaso) recently proposed Ministry of Industry to omit new regulations on exporting footwear goods to EU markets.
The proposal is concerned to regulations on issuing C/O form A, without this enterprises could not export goods to EU markets, leading to harsh difficulties for local manufacturers.
Since October 7 this year, EU's anti–dumping lawsuit has been officially implemented on Vietnamese leather–capped shoes, creating difficulties or even bankruptcy for many small enterprises.
In November 2006, Vietnam's footwear exports turnover reached to US $300 million, up by 3.8 percent from same period 2005, raising the figures of the early eleven months 2006 to $3.2 billion, up 19.3 percent.
