With this exchange of letters, the United States has concluded agreements on pocketing fabric with all five Central American signatories to the CAFTA-DR and the Dominican Republic.
The next step is for all of the CAFTA-DR Parties to complete their domestic legislative procedures required to implement the amendments that have been agreed upon.
The United States and the other CAFTA-DR signatories agreed to negotiate amendments on pocketing fabric when concerns were raised during Congressional consideration of the CAFTA-DR implementing bill.
