Government is focusing on infrastructural development to attract FDI and India is already building more highways than any other country in the world, he mentioned. The Minister also mentioned that net FII inflows into India during the last year stood at US$ 12 billion.
Mr. Kamal Nath has mentioned that India needs to keep pace with technology and highlighted the fact that US jobs have shifted to India not because of low-wages but due to technology.
Technology and demography are driving change in the global economy, mentioned Mr. Nath. India should be prepared for more competition in the global markets and should focus more on EPOs and KPOs.
