Workers' committees 'eunuchs of freedom of association'

“In addition and increasingly, some US corporations are promoting workers' committees as a good instrument for silencing workers and for keeping trade unions out of their supply chains and stalling collective bargaining. No wonder these workers' committees are rapidly becoming known as 'the eunuchs of freedom of association'.”

Mr. Kearney called for an urgent review of the language in codes of conduct relating to freedom of association and collective bargaining to make it absolutely clear that imposed worker committees do not constitute freedom of association.
