According to SPESA Executive Vice President Benton Gardner, "SPESA is proud to be a part of such a significant program. El Foro is part of what they see as the most important week in 2005 for the sewn products industry in Central America."
September 19-23, 2005 is Honduras Textile & Apparel Week and will include both El Foro (September 19-20) and SPESA Expo & AHM Sourcing – Central America (September 21-23), a comprehensive exhibition featuring major equipment and technology suppliers and sourcing opportunities in Central America.
SPESA Expo & AHM Sourcing – Central America will be held at Expo Centro in San Pedro Sula. Nowhere else in Central America will there be 'everything in one place.' They see these combined events as a major 'first' for Central America.
Mike Fralix, President of [TC]2 added, “I heard Honduran President Ricardo Maduro speak at the CCAA (Caribbean Central America Action) meeting in Miami in December 2004. I was so impressed by his ability to bring about change — even if those things are not popular — that they have requested that he share some of his ideas during the opening session of El Foro. They are excited about working with AHM and SPESA to deliver a program that will be of great benefit to Honduras, the U.S. supply chain, and other countries in Central America.”
