ICC-Gujarat launches Responsible Care charter

The GPS, together with the Charter, aims to improve the industry's product stewardship performance by defining measures and actions for ICCA and its members to take. The GPS offers industry the means to implement the key product stewardship and value chain elements set out in the Global Charter.

Chief guest at the Vadodara event was Arvind Agarwal, Industries Commissioner of Gujarat State. He was joined on the platform by D. Dutta Gupta, President - ICC India, and P.K. Taneja, Managing Director, Gujarat State Fertiliser & Chemicals Co Ltd.

Four ICC member companies were recognised during the seminar for their Responsible Care activities as being in compliance and for their social responsibility activities under the community awareness and emergency response (CAER) code which qualified them to use the Responsible Care logo: Bihar Caustic & Chemicals Ltd, Supreme Petrochem Ltd, S.I.Ltd. and SRF Ltd.

A further three member companies were highlighted for their commitment to Responsible Care and volunteering for compliance audits. The three are Heubach Colour Pvt. Ltd., Gujarat State Fertiliser & Chemicals Co. Ltd. and Alembic Ltd.
