India-Japan Business Seminar on Aug 22

A high-level business delegation is scheduled to visit India on August 21-22, 2007 to participate in business meetings being organised by the Industry Association, Chambers of Commerce in coordination with the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.

Mr. Fujio Mitarai, Leader of the Japanese business delegation along with the Presidents of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Associated Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Assocham) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) would be participating in the preliminary discussions with Shri Kamal Nath, Minister of Commerce & Industry, on August 21, 2007.

Mr. Toyoda, Vice Minister, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) would be addressing the Indian industry on Japanese government's efforts to support Japanese business at the inaugural session of India-Japan Business Seminar on August 22, 2007. On the same day, Shri Kamal Nath would be inaugurating the Business Leaders Forum.

Representatives from the top Japanese companies and officials expected to attend the 2-day meetings include: Nippon Keidanren, Canon Inc, Toyota Motor Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd, Hitachi Limited, Fujitsu Ltd, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan Airlines, Japan chamber of Commerce & Industry, Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
