There exhibitor Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) and its Safety & Protective Products Division (S&PPD) will offer resources that will help safety product manufacturers identify the best fabrics for their applications.
Manufacturers often rely on the product suppliers for information. S&PPD provides an alternative: An unbiased comparative directory of hundreds of technical and safety fabrics.
Copies will be available at Booth 1785, as well as reprints of in-depth, informative articles originally published in the Industrial Fabric Products Review, an IFAI magazine.
As specialty fabrics trade associations, IFAI and S&PPD open member businesses to new networking and educational opportunities.
S&PPD works to enhance knowledge of new textile technologies and products that offer protective, preservation, or survivability characteristics. S&PPD also provides resource references and creates a networking forum.
As part of S&PPD's business-building efforts, it is developing the 6th International Conference on Safety & Protective Fabrics, encompassing emerging textiles and materials technologies and research for safety and protection. This important international event will be held Oct 20, 2008 in Charlotte, NC, just prior to IFAI Expo 2008.
