Now, Government has further entrusted this responsibility to 'ICC' to spread the message about the LAW and enable the Chemical manufacturers to file the 'DECLARATIONS' across the chemical fraternity in the Gujarat by sanctioning the CWC DESK / CELL at Vadodara.

If the Chemical industry does not respond to the call now, the consequences could be serious, as conveyed by the authorities. It may be noted that the Declaration consist of only 2-3 pages FORMAT by providing NAMES, ANNUAL QUANTITY and VALUE, in addition to details of Directors/Proprietors OR Owners along with address.

If an entrepreneur is exporting his chemicals falling under 'CWC Act' (SCOMET Scheme), then it can be exported ONLY with prior license from DGFT - Government of India to the countries who have not signed this charter.

If license / permission is not obtained, it may lead to serious problems for the exporter like 'Closure of Unit'. Few manufacturers within Gujarat State have so far been monetarily penalized heavily (to the tune of Rs.20 Lacs) with other restrictions like "immediate cancellation of Import - Export License (IEC)" etc.

Therefore, it is conveyed to whole of the chemical fraternity that any guidance / clarification on the matter can be had from our office, irrespective of the affiliation / membership of a manufacturer. Members can also file the 'declarations' under the guidance of 'ICC'. It is conveyed in the interest of Chemical industry as a whole, since Government of India is spreading the awareness about "CWC" across the country through 'ICC' only.
