Tirupur Exporters' Association (TEA) President Shri A Sakthivel has made a representation to Hon'ble Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to save exporters and workforce from the grave crisis happened further to appreciation of rupee against dollar to Rs. 39.70 for the first time in nine years.

Shri. A. Sakthivel has sent a requisition letter to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi to use his good offices with Central Government and help the exporters to bail out from the crisis.
Requisition letters have also been sent to Shri. P. Chidamabaram, Hon'ble Union Finance Minister, Shri. Kamalnath, Hon'ble Commerce and Industry Minister and Shri. Shankersinh Vaghela, Hon'ble Minister of Textiles, Shri. A. K. Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Shri K. M. Chandrasekhar, Cabinet Secretary, Shri. G.K. Pillai, Commerce Secretary, Government of India to help the industry to overcome from the present crisis.
