Manufacturing production for the first eight months of 2007 recorded growth of 5.1% compared with the first eight months of 2006.
Furthermore, the estimated seasonally adjusted manufacturing production for the three months ended August 2007 remains on the same level compared with the previous three months. Higher production levels were reported by seven of the ten manufacturing divisions.
The estimated total value of sales of manufactured products at current prices for the three months ended August 2007 increased by 0.7% (R1 992 million), after seasonal adjustment, compared with the previous three months.
