With growing income levels, increased accessibility and changing consumption patters, rural sector is fast emerging as new growth centres.
As per estimates, rural India accounts for more than 50% of the GDP and out of total 62.97 million households, having income more than 5 lakhs pa, nearly 28.68 million households (46%) live in Rural India.
CII and Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India are jointly organising a National Seminar on “Rural Sectpr: Sourcing, Branding & Marketing – Opportunities & Challenges” on 15th October at 0930 hrs at Hotel Le Meridien, Janpath, New Delhi.
Mr. Mani Shankar Aiyar, Minister of Panchayati Raj, Youth Affairs & Sports and Development of North Eastern Region; Ms. Kumud Joshi, Chairperson, Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC); Mr. Anil Sinha, General Manager, SEDF, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman, CII Mission for Inclusive Growth & Chairman, Hero Corporate Service Ltd, will deliver the Inaugural address at 0930 hrs.
