Department of Commerce, offered this endorsement of the USIFI effort: "I am encouraged by the cooperation between USIFI and the Office of Textiles and Apparel in pioneering this landmark technical textiles mission to the Middle East. This trade mission gives additional momentum to President George W. Bush's free trade policies in the Middle East and across the globe."
Priest oversees programs and strategies designed to improve domestic and international competitiveness of the U.S. fiber, textiles and apparel industries. He also chairs the interagency Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements.
"This is a first ever Trade Mission for USIFI and IFAI and we look forward to offering similar opportunities to our member companies in other regions of the world which want and need our technical textiles products," said Ruth Stephens, Executive Director of USIFI.
