A US$ 3 billion industry, Sri Lanka Apparel contributes to 46% of the country's total exports, accounts for 67% of the country's industrial production. Employing over 300,000 people directly and almost 1 million indirectly, it is also the single largest employer in the manufacturing sector in Sri Lanka contributing towards women's empowerment and rural poverty alleviation.
Sri Lanka Apparel represents manufacturing exporters and key trade associations comprising the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF), the apex body whose membership represents all of the Apparel and Textile businesses in Sri Lanka.
