India and Germany are strategic partners. Germany is the sixth largest foreign investor in India and the second largest trading partner for India in the European Union.
The Chancellor of Germany, Ms. Angela Merkel is visiting India from 28 October - 31 October 2007.
Prior to Ms. Merkel's visit the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing a Roundtable on India and Germany: Strengthening the Partnership on 26th October 2007 at 1100 hrs at CII Headquarters, 23, Institutional Area, Lodi Road, New Delhi.
The session will focus on the vision for Indo - German Trade and Economic Relations 2015.
H E Mr. Bernd Mutzelburg, Ambassador, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany; Mr. Rajgopal Sharma, Director, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Mr. Satish K kaura, Chairman, CII Manufacturing Council & CMD, Samtel Color Ltd, will address the Session at 1100 hrs.
