Shri. A. Sakthivel, President, TEA has sent a thanks letter to Shri. Kamalnath, Hon'ble Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi for Shri. Kamalnath's communication to EU Trade Commissioner to counter the NGOs malign campaign against garment exporters in India.
The Hon'ble Union Minister Shri. Kamalnath has sent a letter to EU Trade Commissioner Mr. Peter Mandelson and the Dutch Foreign Minister to counter the NGOs maligned campaign against the labour practices being followed by garment exporters in India and further informing that such motivated campaign would invite a pressure on Indian Government to restrict imports from EU.
Shri. A. Sakthivel also said that the Hon'ble Commerce Minister's strong support and help would certainly increase the morale of the Indian business and boost our competitiveness.
Added to this, Shri. Sakthivel pointed out that a few unscrupulous organizations in Tirupur are also doing such a malafied campaign against the Tirupur export garment units and thereby, affecting the Indian Economy.
He has requested the Minister to take necessary steps to probe the source of the fund received from abroad and utilization of fund by those NGOs exist in Tirupur.
