Shri. A. Sakthivel participated in the meeting held in Secretariat, Chennai as a Member of Special Task Force for Industrial Development while Chief Minister is unveiling New Industrial Policy 2007 and after announcement of policy, he personally congratulated and thanked the Hon'ble Chief Minister Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi for the progressive New Industrial Policy 2007.
In a Press Release issued, Shri. A. Sakthivel welcomed and hailed the New Industrial Policy 2007 and whole heartedly thank the Hon'ble Chief Minister Dr. M. Karunanidhi for bringing out a very progressive and visionary policy.
Shri. A. Sakthivel further said that New Industrial Policy has covered all industry sectors of Tamilnadu and the vision statement also shows the interest taken by the Hon'ble Chief Minister on Tamilnadu Industry.
Shri. A. Sakthivel welcomed the announcement of Marine Discharge Scheme for Tirupur and other export clusters.
Shri. A. Sakthivel also welcomes the separate charter given for export promotion in the policy and in which export goal is fixed and export facilitation is given.
The chapter also states that there will be a State Export Commissioner and also a separate officer in District Promotion Cell and Industries Export Promotion Committee.
Shri. A. Sakthivel was happy to observe that all the suggestions and requisitions made by all industrial leaders in Task Force meeting held were taken care of.
Shri. A. Sakthivel also noted that important is given for training and skilled workers, Upgradation of Ports, Upgradation of Airports, mainly Coimbatore and Trichy which are the need of hour of the industry.
